Local favourite pasty makers Carrs Pasties are going to be at X-Records Bolton on Saturday morning (16th April) around 07:30am celebrating Record Store Day by handing out pasties for a shilling (that’s 5p if you’re too young to remember).
Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities host artist performances and events to mark the occasion. Thousands more shops celebrate the day around the globe in what’s become one of the biggest annual events on the music calendar. The first Record Store Day was officially kicked off by Metallica in San Francisco in 2008 and is now held every third Saturday in April.
Carrs are selling the pasties for 5p – because a pasty would have cost around a shilling (5p) when vinyl was most popular.
That`s right ladies and gents you can get a wonderful Carrs pasty for a whopping 5 pence AND get yourself some great music AND help support two local companies
Pasties are strictly first come first served!
Pasties are 1 per person and stocks are limited to 80 pasties
