AN ENGLISH rock band with a coveted history will perform as co-headliners at a huge weekend of live music.
Reverend and the Makers, who have supported the likes of Oasis and Arctic Monkeys on tour, will play alongside Scouting for Girls at Bolton Live, a new initiative that will see artists play live music in the Premier Suite at the Macron Stadium.
The event involving both bands takes place on Sunday, August 21 st .
Damian Chadwick, venue controller at the Macron Stadium, said: “After announcing Secret Affair only last week, I’m delighted to be able to add Reverend and the Makers to the growing Bolton Live portfolio.
“The band have supported some major acts and they’ve played at big venues, so we think they’ll fit right in performing at Bolton Live.
“There is still additions to be made to the undercard, we’re urging fans to spread the word and get their tickets early so they aren’t left disappointed.”
Reverend and the Makers, have achieved five UK Top 20 Albums including the popular Mirrors and The State of Things and five top five Indie chart singles.
The band have also attract some star studded fans and Carl Barat, best-known for being the co-frontman with Pete Doherty in The Libertines, added: “You can always rely on the Reverend for a volley of lyrical grenades, but ‘Mirrors’ is a magnum opus. He’s a seasoned melodic master too. Just what we needed from Reverend & The Makers.”
