Alain Job, owner of Cameroonian food stall Nkono in Bolton Market, will be entertaining visitors at Heaton Fold’s artisan market this Sunday (May 15).
Well known to market customers for his lively patter, Mr Job will be hosting two cookery demos at 11.30am and 12.30pm, showing people how to make jerk chicken and safari jollof rice.
Around 15 producers and suppliers will be selling high quality and locally sourced food, drinks and crafts from 10am to 4pm.
Goods on offer include: handmade jams; breads; pies and chocolates; speciality teas; Lancashire cheeses; fresh fruit and vegetables; bespoke home furnishings; crafts, and jewellery. Hot sausages from Bowland Pork will be available all day.
The market is organised by Brian Hood, from Signature Soaps – a Bolton-based artisan producer of handmade soaps – in conjunction with the council.
