A meeting giving bus users across the town the chance to ask questions and raise concerns will be held on Thursday 26th May, 5:30pm at Bolton Library Lecture Theatre.
Representatives from Arriva and FirstManchester have confirmed their attendance and will be available to answer questions, and it is hoped that representatives from Transport for Greater Manchester and Bolton Council will also be available to discuss progress on the new bus station.
Preva Crossley, Chairman of Bolton Bus Users Forum said:
“This is a great opportunity for bus users in the town to have their concerns addressed, learn a little more about any changes to services occurring in the near future and have some of their questions answered by those in the know. The aim moving forward is to have a regular public forum that the likes of TfGM, Arriva, FirstManchester and others can use to provide services that people need and want.
“It’s been quite clear recently that communication between public transport agencies and the public has been lacking. The removal of the Manchester to Bolton Night Bus services being a prime example where a lack of consultation has resulted in public dissatisfaction. By providing a forum where people can raises their issues and concerns, and offer suggestions for workable solutions, we feel we can create a public transport system in the town that we can be proud to use”.
The meeting is open to all and will commence at 5:30pm on Thursday 26th May at Bolton Cnetral Library. For more information please contact Preva Crossley on 01204 63578 or 07949128126
