Howfenbury 2016 a resounding success

Howfenbury 2016 was planned out of a radical “lets do something idea” between Andy Partington and Stuart Gregory within a week they had secured the location , The White lion pub, Westhoughton and had a stage donated to them by Rarecrest scaffolding ltd.

Over the course of the following few weeks they worked hard to get sponsorship and got a generous £200 donated to them by the Westhoughton action community organisation (WACO) and then secured several acts

On the day the stage (which measured a whoopping 23ft front to back and amazingly dressed with banners and lights) the weather was with them and Potters events even provided a burger van and bouncy castles

There were acts throughout the day from young to old including the fantastic Maggie d and BGT’s and x-factor star Ron Davies and some amazing young talent including Bolton Live`s very own resident singer and Blogger Dharma,  Lana brindle, jack Collins and leaf from Insyt Media as well as Courtney Gregory and all the other acts from 12-9pm

Crowds turned up for this unique community event which also included Face Painting for the kids and a beer tent for the adults.

The event raised £457.95 for Francis house and Howfen Radio and they have already started making plans for next years event.
