It`s Friday night and myself and Chris headed down to The Quays Theatre at The lowry to watch Sean Walsh`s new show “One for the road”
The night was kicked off by Mark Simmons (@bigbirdsheeran) with his brand of one liners and he ably managed to warm the crowd up with a whole range of them. I can see Mark going far in the next couple of years so remember the name folks and give him a follow on Twitter
Once we were thoroughly warmed up it was time for the man we had all packed out the Quays to see, Seann Walsh to take to the stage. From the moment he walked on he was in control of the stage and managed audience participation flawlessly as usual.
This is no surprise as Seann has a reputation for being able to enthrall an audience.
However dishevelled he may appear (even though last night he appeared very smart), the Foster’s Comedy Award nominee is one of the best observational comics that this country has ever produced and the audience roaring with laughter last night is testament to that
With his observational mind seann has the abilty to spot the absurd in everyday situations and last nights show proved that he can convert those observations into perfectly timed , perfectly delivered stand up.
Even though you have probably seen Seann Walsh on one of the many TV shows he has appeared in he is off the scale Live. The crowd lapped up his unique brand of humour and from the amount of belly laughs and the ladies in fits of giggles all the way throughout you could tell that everyone in the theatre had a great time.
Final Verdict- ☆☆☆☆☆
If you get a chance to see Seann Walsh Live i heartily reccomend that you book your tickets as soon as you can for this tour. You will not be disappointed.
