A Bolton MP wants residents to share their experiences with broadband service after statistics revealed his constituency is one of the best places in the country to log on.

Bolton West and Atherton MP Chris Green says that although the statistics are good news, he wants to get a better understanding of which areas are falling through the cracks.

The MP said: “Most of us use the internet these days, whether we’re logging on to do the shopping, children doing their homework or simply browsing the web.

“New statistics show that we have well above average internet speeds and that around 96% of the constituency gets Superfast Broadband.

“Despite this, I still get complaints from local people about their internet provision and I’m concerned that some parts of the constituency are falling through the cracks.

“That’s why I have designed this survey – to work out which parts of the constituency have fast internet speeds and which areas are lagging behind.  This will help me put pressure on BT to make sure that everyone in Bolton West & Atherton can get access to Superfast Broadband.”
