The reigning Miss Bolton and Bury is Bethany Dove, a 21 year old law student who grew up in Horwich and attended St Joseph’s in Bolton. As part of her role, she has raised an amazing £6,000 in the last two years for multiple charities. In order to progress further and enhance her fundraising activity, she is seeking business sponsors to help her out. Could you help?

Beth won her regional heat, Miss Bolton and Bury, in July at Bolton Little Theatre and the semi-finals will take place on June 4th at Kelham Hall, where she will compete for a limited place in the Grand Final at Resorts World Birmingham in July. Thousands of girls apply to get to the semi-finals, with around 10 of the regional title holders progressing to the final.

Miss England is the biggest and most prestige pageant stage in the country and the only way to enter Miss World. Beauty pageants are no longer a stage show based on just looks, and there is no longer a swimwear round – it was scrapped in order to update the pageant. Instead participants have to be talented and speak passionately about their concerns and put time and effort into charity work and community projects.

The participants are assessed on their role within the community until the semi-final, via interview rounds and charity work. On stage there is an evening gown round for which Beth is sponsored by Just Boutique at the Last Drop Village, and there is an ‘eco’ round where all outfits are made from second hand or recyclable materials.

The semi-finals take place at Kelham Hall, which is a stunning location in the Trent valley. During the night guests and judges will be given programmes to help identify the girls, as there will be so many on stage. This is obviously a very important part of the process and Beth has had a number of photo shoots to pick the right photos to submit. Without a sponsor she will not be featured on a page, just listed at the back with name and a small picture, so to give her the best chance, she is looking for a sponsor.

The details are as follows;

The price for a full page sponsor is £240 and can be multiple companies to split cost. It includes a full page picture, another small picture, company logo, web link and writing, banners and leaflets at the event, mentioned on the night and promoted widely by Beth, as well as a personal visit for an event or promotion.

The price for a half page sponsor is £115 and can also be multiple companies. It includes one photo of Beth, the sponsor’s logo and promotion, as well as a personal promotional visit.

The deadline for sponsors to sign up is 19th May.
