Anyone up for drinking some great beer and cider? Well, those passionate folk, Bolton branch of Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA)`s festival of real ale and cider at Bolton Ukrainian Club, is this weekend, from Today 27th to Saturday 29 th April.

This local beer festival, now in its fifth year, continues to source from amongst the best small breweries and cider producers in the UK. (Bolton’s own: Bank Top; Blackedge; and Holy Well, included.)

“Real ale is a living product, which conditions inside the cask after leaving the brewery,” said organiser Pete Kobryn

“so we’re very careful on how we look after it. We try to get delivery as early as possible, to allow time for the beer to settle and reach optimum condition, ready to serve, at its best, to the public.”

With the emphasis on the quality of drinks available, this years festival will also offer a wide range of Dragon’s Breath Meads, from the Horwich based, Lancashire Mead Company.

“To complement our fabulous beverages, we’ve invited Alain Job (Hkono, of Bolton Markets) to provide his wonderful range of food, which will maintain festival goers’ taste buds at over-drive!”, enthused Pete

“Our cosy ambience is created by the folk who come along to the festival, and they enjoy the opportunity to chat, whilst savouring their fare. There’s no need for the distraction of extraneous entertainment!”

Apart from the beer and cider, all other goods and services are sourced from companies within the Bolton Borough.

And the festival will, once again, be supporting Bolton Hospice as the festival charity.

The 2017 Bolton CAMRA Beer Festival opens on Thursday 27 th April, from 3:30pm until 10:30pm; then open Friday and Saturday, 28 th and 29 th April, 12 until 10:30pm. Food, soft drinks and snacks are available at all times.
