arkcoverA team of 6 employees from Lostock-based online electricals retailer, AO.com, handpicked onto the company’s internal development programme, are seeking to turn an initial investment of £250 into £3,500 in support of their chosen charity, The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust, in an Apprentice-style challenge set by the business.
In order to raise the funds, the team have set up a not-for- profit making online venture, “Ark Accessories,” where they have been selling a collection of sterling silver jewellery through their shop on Etsy.com. The team have made just over £600 to date, and are currently working on expanding their range into candles, bath bombs and other gifts perfect for Christmas in order to appeal to a wider audience.
Camilla Seymour from Ark Accessories commented on their venture: “absolutely all of our profits will be donated to the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust. We are all really proud of our story, and it’s something that our customers love and sets us apart from other online retailers”.
Ark Accessories will be offering a 10% discount throughout October and November for all Bolton Live readers who quote the code “ARKBL” at the Etsy.com checkout.
Whilst Ark Accessories are predominantly an online business, you will be able to visit their pop-up shop in the Bolton Marketplace and Bolton Market on select Saturday’s and Sunday’s throughout November and December. Follow Ark Accessories on Facebook and Instagram in order to keep up to date on when the team will be there, and to get information on up-to- date offers and competitions.
The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust provide holidays to terminally ill, disabled and underprivileged children and their parents/carers, and is a charity that the team are exceptionally passionate about. Having visited the charity on a variety of occasions and seeing the unbelievable work that the charity do, the team are even more determined to beat their target.
