Since winning the inaugural Scottish Comedian of the Year Award, barely a
year after his first-ever open-spot, Mark Nelson’s mix of dark humour, cutting
observations and superb one-liners has seen him firmly established as one of
the UK’s biggest-hitting comedy powerhouses.
With a likeable manner on stage belying some of the stronger content, Nelson
often has audiences laughing at things they know they really shouldn’t be
laughing at.
He is therefore a very sought-after comedian and writer, with both the skill
and intellect to be able to adapt his material to suit and entertain any club,
theatre or corporate audiences.
“A remarkably accomplished stage presence… blistering material which
pushes dangerously near the boundaries of good taste” The Sunday Times

Roger Monkhouse is one of the regular writers on Channel 4’s hugely popular comedy panel show ‘8 Out of 10 Cats.’ He is responsible for scripting up-to- the minute topical gags every week for the show which features Jimmy Carr alongside team captains Dave Spikey and Sean Lock. Other television credits include appearances on ‘The Comedy Store’ and ‘The World Stands Up’, (both Paramount), ‘My God I’m My Dad’ (Bravo) and ‘Street Cred Sudoku’ (UKG2). Nevertheless, he remains a clear favourite of comedy
insiders and is probably comedy’s best kept secret: In other words, in our view and the view of many others, he is one of the best (possibly THE best) comedian who’s not famous yet!
A consummate stand-up who exerts a masterful control over any audience. A highly original and quirky performer, his trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit. Supremely confident, with audience banter down to an art form, he’s happy to improvise freely but has no shortage of first class material in his armoury. Roger is a widely regarded as a master of observational comedy with routines that are universally and unfailingly hysterical.
“Unfailingly entertaining – a gifted natural” Chortle
Simon Lomas is one of the most promising stand ups we have ever seen. Already making waves, this ungainly and socially awkward geek will doubtless go onto big things as his distinctive style is matched by superb jokes and highly unique delivery. He`s already a multi award wining act and is being widely talked about a ross the comedy industry catch him now while you can!
“Imaginative, delightful wordplay” Chortle
“Sharp and solid joke writing” The Skinny

Your MC for the night, Rob Mulholland is one of the fastest rising comics in the country. Seemingly, an odd man, he’s much less creepy than he looks and is very tall and hilarious. He once made a lady wee herself during a set and a bit of it went in her shoe. His jokes are rapid-fire, his jeans are too tight and his jackets were once owned by dead men. He tells jokes about the similarities between penises and olives and internet drug deal and more.

“Great delivery and a confident swagger…A riot” Lancashire Evening
